It starts well and I think would hold a child's interest. I have yet to read beyond the first few pages.
I was delighted to get the book after I heard that the author/illustrator was a distant relative of mine.
This is lovely book to have on the bookshelf, as Australian I grew up with the adventures of Blinky Bill.
I grew up with blinks bill and still love it. Now I'm passing it on to my grandson
I am always reading deep, non fiction, educational books so this book was a lovely, humorous escape in my reading life. I had never read or had Blinkys adventures read to me as a child and as a mother I shared Snuggle Pot with my children as it had been shared with me as a child.
I would recomend this book to anyone wanting a light escape and reminder of what being a typical "bush kid" is all about.
As Australians living in the USA it was wonderful to receive this and read some to our family that evening! Thank you so much it arrived earlier than expected!
This book is wonderful! My 6 yr old son just loves it. He never wants me to stop reading. He says "more, more".
It has so many wonderful animals and since we live in the U.S. , it is fun to look up the different animals and learn about them, too. So many great morals we can teach when naughty little Blinky gets in trouble.
We were reading some of Thornton Burgess books with all the different animals in each books. Blinky is very comparable to these. It is keeping my son's interest, to say the least. I think everyone should read it at least once.
And if you want some free handwriting pages to go with it, check out [...]. they were there the last time i looked.
The Complete Adventures of Blinky Bill is a beloved children's classic from Australia. My grandparents used to read it to me, creating some of my fondest memories, so, I bought it for my sister to read to her grandchildren. She was absolutely thrilled to receive it!
